Patrol: Highway Linking Phoenix And Las Vegas Reopens, Man Taken Into Custody

Mario Roberto Durán Ortiz

The main highway linking Phoenix and Las Vegas has reopened in both directions.

The Nevada Highway Patrol says U.S. 93 reopened after a possibly suicidal man was taken into custody Wednesday at the high span Mike O'Callaghan-Pat Tillman Memorial Bridge.

The bridge crosses the Colorado River near the Hoover Dam.

The highway was closed for about three hours.
