Public Service Announcements

KNAU is proud to be a member of your local community. We encourage you to list your event on the online calendar, and, if you think it fits our guidelines, to send it along to be announced over the airwaves as well.

We announce a large number of PSAs every day at various times.

Here's what we look for in a PSA:

• We prefer cultural events of wide public interest.
• We prefer events that take place in our listening area (i.e., northern Arizona).
• If ongoing, we prefer there be at least one discrete date with an announceable event.
• We prefer events without required pre-registration.

We also prefer that you email your PSA, and we ask for at least 2 weeks notice of your event (more notice would be even better!).

Please send the following essential information with your proposed PSA:

• Where the event takes place (town & address).
• When the event takes place (time & date).
• What it is—please be specific, for example:
• Is a "presentation" a slideshow, lecture, or a demonstration?
• What musical pieces/dances/play will be performed?
• Contact information (phone & email) for the person who is most familiar with the event.

With such a large listening area and listenership, we receive and accept many PSAs. We continue to announce PSAs as often as time permits.

Please note that the PSAs we do accept are not scheduled at any particular time, and are not guaranteed to be announced.
