Adrienne Young Preaches the 'Art of Virtue'

Bluegrass sweetheart Adrienne Young and her band Little Sadie's second album, The Art of Virtue, examines modern life through a prism of collective wisdom, the kind passed along in America's agricultural past.

Virtue has been called sweet and uplifting, two adjectives often associated with their first full-length, Plow To The End Of The Row. And true to Young's debut, the new record hearkens back to simpler times while remaining contemporary.

That approach becomes evident without hearing a single song: Taking its title from the writings of Ben Franklin, the album includes an inspired cover of a Grateful Dead tune.

In her lyrics for the title track, Young writes, "Gonna start a revolution, Made of action, not of words, Practicing the Art of Virtue."
