Navajo Gaming Extends Tribal Casino Closure

The Navajo Gaming Enterprise has approved the extension of closures for the tribe's casinos through June 7th.

According to the gaming board, the decision was made to protect employees from the continued spread of COVID-19. Employees will continue to be paid and receive health benefits through the closure. More than 80% of Navajo Nation casino workers are members of the tribe. Gaming officials say they're preparing a phased-in reopening to protect guests and workers.
