U of A To Provide COVID-19 Antibody Tests To Flagstaff Public Safety Workers

Public safety personnel in Flagstaff will receive COVID-19 antibody testing this week as part of a testing initiative by the University of Arizona and the state of Arizona.

Last month, the U of A expanded its analysis of blood samples to include health care workers and first responders statewide. They want to determine who has developed antibodies against the coronavirus.

The state is providing $3.5 million for testing, which will occur in all 15 Arizona counties. To date, antibody testing sites have been established across the state to test health care workers and first resonders.

Flagstaff's testing will occur this week at the Flagstaff Fire Department, station 6. Registration for health care workers and first responders is at www.covid19antibodytesting.arizona.edu.
