Yavapai College has announced plans to offer one free class this coming fall for enrolled students.
A spokesperson for the college says Cares Act funding and other federal resources will be accessed to provide three free credits to new, continuing and high school students. The announcement comes as Yavapai College plans to return to in-person learning with social distancing protocols beginning this summer. Amid the pandemic, a December study from the National Clearinghouse Student Research Center found enrollment in public two-year colleges declined in 2020 by more than 10 percent nationwide.
