AZ DES Deciding How To Implement Ducey's Return-To-Work Cash Bonus Program

istock.com

The Arizona Department of Economic Security is still determining how to implement the return-to-work cash bonuses promised to Arizona residents by Republican Governor Doug Ducey last month.

In mid-May, Ducey announced the bonuses would go to residents who stopped receiving unemployment benefits, returned to work by September and kept their job for at least 10 weeks. ABC15 in Phoenix is reporting that the state Department of Economic Security has not yet chosen a company to create the online portal where residents will upload the documentation necessary for the bonus program. The state is scheduled to begin accepting applications July 10th, 2021.
