Missing Maryland Man Found On North Rim Of Grand Canyon

NPS

Search and rescue crews at Grand Canyon National Park have found a Maryland man who had been missing since Tuesday.

According to park officials, personnel discovered 66-year-old Clifton Beck near Roosevelt Point on the North Rim this morning. They say he’s in stable condition and is being treated at the North Rim developed area by emergency personnel.

Beck had obtained a backcountry permit to spend two nights on the Walhalla Plateau last weekend and was eventually reported overdue. Rangers had conducted a thorough search using ground teams, helicopter flights and fixed-wing aircraft.
