Arizona’s new known daily cases of COVID-19 have fallen below 1,000 for the first time in months.
State health officials Monday reported 783 more infections and no new deaths from the virus. The numbers of COVID patients hospitalized and in intensive care also dipped to their lowest levels in months.
Almost 1.4-million people in the state have received at least one dose of COVID vaccine and about 10% of Arizona’s population has been fully vaccinated.
Since the pandemic began more than 827,000 Arizonans have tested positive for COVID and almost 16,400 have died.
