Arizona health officials Tuesday reported 2,254 new known cases of COVID-19 and 74 more additional deaths.
Hospitalizations in the state also increased slightly with nearly 1,800 patients occupying hospital beds as of Monday.
According to Johns Hopkins University data, the seven-day rolling average of new daily cases in Arizona rose over the past two weeks while the average of daily deaths remained almost unchanged.
More than 20,000 people in state have died since the beginning of the pandemic.
Santa Cruz County in southern Arizona has the highest rate of residents who’ve received at least one dose of vaccine at over 77%. Apache County has the lowest, at about 28%.
