The state Department of Health Services on Tuesday found 3,500 newly confirmed COVID-19 cases and 134 deaths. The death toll is shy of a recent daily record of 147 deaths. Officials caution that higher numbers are attributed to a review of death certificates. In total now, the state has seen nearly 150,000 cases and 2,900 deaths. Meanwhile, the number of in-patient hospitalizations, ICU bed occupancy and ventilator use were about the same or slightly lower than the previous day. In terms of in-patient bed availability, the state’s hospitals are at 83% capacity.
