Chino Valley Couple Accused of Buying Tools with Bad Checks

Yavapai County authorities have arrested a Chino Valley couple accused of buying more than $2,200 in tools with checks that bounced and then listing the items online.

County sheriff's officials say 29-year-old Mark Norris and 32-year-old Kristina Craft have been booked into jail on suspicion of trafficking of stolen property, fraud and issuing a bad check.

It was unclear Wednesday if the couple has an attorney for their case.

Norris and Craft bought the tools last month at a Chino Valley store and wrote two checks totaling nearly $2,238.

But authorities say the checks were written from an account that had no money in it and store employees couldn't locate the couple.

It was later discovered that Norris and Craft were trying to sell the items on Facebook Marketplace.
