Coconino County To Take Part In Statewide COVID-19 ‘Testing Blitz’

Coconino County Health and Human Services

Arizona health officials will conduct what they’re calling a COVID-19 “testing blitz” over the next three Saturdays. They say the goal is to test up to 20,000 people each day statewide.

Coconino County will set up sites at Ft. Tuthill and at the County Health and Human Services building at 2625 N. King St. in Flagstaff. Anyone who thinks they’re infected or has come in contact with someone infected can receive a test. In addition, those with symptoms including fever, cough, difficulty breathing chills, shaking or loss of taste or smell can receive a test.

There are only enough supplies this week to test between 100 and 200 patients, and after capacity is reached people will be turned away. Officials ask anyone traveling to the testing sites to wear masks and results can take up to seven days.

Registration is recommended at coconino.az.gov/covid19 or by calling (928) 679-7300. For more information on the statewide testing blitz see azhealth.gov/testingblitz.
