Ellen DeGeneres and Portia De Rossi Donate Protective Face Sheilds To Navajo Nation

Architectural Digest

The Navajo Nation Indian Health Service medical facilities have received donations of protective face shields from celebrity talk show host Ellen DeGeneres and her wife Portia De Rossi. Tribal officials say approximately 240 face shields were delivered to several Navajo health centers last week.

The face shields were delivered to the Crownpoint Health Care Facility, Rehoboth McKinley Christian Health Care Services and Gallup Indian Medical Center. The donations came through DeGeneres and De Rossi's art company, General Public, which uses 3-D technology to print paintings. The company is now creating 3-D printed face shields to donate to medical facilities and public safety departments nationwide.

Members of the Navajo Tribal Council say they are "beyond grateful" to DeGeneres and De Rossi in their "efforts to help save lives."
