The Navajo Nation Council began its summer legislative session this week. Speaker Seth Damon says the Council’s highest priorities include water availability, infrastructure, waste management and broadband internet access.

The Tribe also plans to finish the construction of housing units in several Utah Chapters, and is seeking funding for a Hogan and Leadership building in Window Rock, Arizona for all branches of tribal government. The Council commenced this summer’s session with a traditional horse ride. Last year’s was cancelled due to the coronavirus pandemic.
