President Donald Trump is scheduled to travel to Arizona Tuesday to visit a Phoenix-area Honeywell facility that manufactures N95 face masks for health care workers and first responders.
The president suggests it will mark the return to more regular travel. For much of the last two months, Trump has rarely left the grounds of the White House as he’s dealt with the fallout of the Coronavirus pandemic.
The Arizona trip means a small army of advisers, logistical experts and security staff will also resume regularly hitting the road and taking a measure of risk to assist Trump.
White House officials say social distancing will be practiced by the president and his staffers during the visit to Honeywell Tuesday.
Arizona Republican U.S. Senator Martha McSally, who is running in the November election, is traveling with the president aboard Air Force One for the visit to Phoenix.
