An Arizona house that was the last home architect Frank Lloyd Wright designed before his death sold Wednesday for nearly $1.7 million.

An Arizona home that architect Frank Lloyd Wright designed during the last year of his life is going on the auction block.

Eight buildings designed by celebrated American architect Frank Lloyd Wright have been added to the UNESCO World Heritage list—including Taliesen West in Scottsdale.

They include the Solomon R. Guggenheim Museum in New York City, the Hollyhock House in Los Angeles and the Unity Temple in Oak Park, Illinois. The Chicago suburb has the largest concentration of Wright-designed buildings.

The UNESCO World Heritage Committee, made the announcement at the meeting in Baku, Azerbaijan, Sunday. The Wright buildings mark the 24th U.S. site on the list.
