The Arizona Supreme Court has agreed to consider a case involving privacy rights and a warrantless search of the cellphone of a man who was on felony probation.

Arizona finally has a statewide law that bans texting while driving and other hand-held cellphone use while on the road, although fines for violators don't kick in until 2021. 


A proposal banning the use of hand-held cellphones by drivers across Arizona is on the way to Republican Gov. Doug Ducey's desk following a vote by the Arizona House.
