A campaign to mandate more clean energy in Arizona says Attorney General Mark Brnovich tried to manipulate the ballot measure's wording, a claim his office calls "laughable."

Hundreds of witnesses came to court Monday in downtown Phoenix for a trial over whether a proposal requiring the use of more renewable energy in Arizona should be barred from appearing on the November ballot.

Wind and solar power currently account for less than 10 percent of the energy produced in Arizona. KNAU’s Ryan Heinsius reports, a proposed state constitutional amendment would increase the use of renewables significantly in the coming decade.
