Authorities say they have arrested Cecil Vijil, Jr., who was wanted in connection with an assault on a federal officer on the Navajo Nation.  The FBI says he was arrested Sunday night in Towaoc, Colorado on the Ute Mountain Ute reservation near the Four Corners.  Law Enforcement officers say he was arrested without incident.


The FBI says someone fired a gun at the bureau's Phoenix field office, but no one was injured and a suspect has been arrested.

Authorities on the Navajo Nation are investigating the fatal shooting of a man in northern Arizona. Navajo Police responded to a call Wednesday afternoon about a man shot in Kayenta.


The federal government on Monday launched a pilot program to collect DNA from people in immigration custody and submit it to the FBI, with plans to expand across its entire borders with Canada and Mexico.
