Arizona is taking another step that benefits long-distance truckers hauling freight during the Coronavirus pandemic.

Fire crews were dispatched Tuesday to battle the flames on a blaze moving across grass and Ponderosa Pine near Sherwood Forest Estates outside of Williams.

Arizona Receives More Snow And Rain As Spring Arrives

Plows are clearing roads on parts of northern Arizona on the first day of spring after a storm dropped heavy snow that created traffic backups Thursday morning.

Eastbound lanes of Interstate 40 were briefly closed Monday night after a fuel tanker exploded and burned at the Butler Avenue exit in Flagstaff.   Flagstaff Police Lieutenant Frank Higgins says the truck's driver was injured but is expected to survive.

NOTE: Interstate-40 westbound has since reopened near Holbrook following the law enforcement incident.

A 53-mile stretch of westbound Interstate 40 is closed east of Holbrook in northeastern Arizona because of a law enforcement situation involving gunfire.
