U.S. Sending Mexican Migrants 1,000 Miles From Border

The Trump administration says it's sending Mexicans who cross the border in Arizona on flights to the central Mexico city of Guadalajara — roughly 1,000 miles away.

The trial in a lawsuit alleging unsafe and inhumane detention conditions in several of the Border Patrol’s Arizona stations has started in Tucson.

Authorities say the number of people arrested or stopped entering the United States along the Mexico border decreased for a seventh straight month in December.
