Holiday Weekend Curfew For Navajo Nation

Navajo Nation officials will implement another 57-hour curfew this holiday weekend to try and slow the spread of coronavirus on the Nation. 

The Navajo Department of Health reports 181 new cases of COVID-19, bringing the total number of known infections to nearly 4,500 and the total number of known deaths to 147. Nearly 1,200 people have recovered from the virus, with more reports still pending. This week, officials with the Navajo Nation distributed food, water, cleaning products and other essential supplies to families in several communities, including Monument Valley/Oljato, Dennehotso and Round Rock. This weekend's curfew begins Friday at 8 p.m. and lifts Monday at 5 a.m.
