Navajo Nation officials will implement a shortened, partial weekend lockdown beginning Saturday to protect against the spread of coronavirus.
Health officials issued the order for 9 p.m. Saturday to-5-a.m. Monday for the next three weekends. They say case trends have declined and the percent of positive COVID-19 tests is below 10 percent with hospital capacity below 80 percent. Leaders say the tribe has gone more than 40 consecutive days with fewer than 100 new confirmed daily cases.
