Arizona Traveler Diagnosed with Measles

Flagstaff, AZ – State health officials say a French traveler who recently visited northern Arizona has been diagnosed with measles. The infection was confirmed this week at the Arizona State Laboratory. Coconino County Health officials say the twenty one year old woman could have exposed others to measles between July twenty first and the twenty ninth. She traveled to Tusayan, the Grand Canyon, Monument Valley, Page and several areas in Utah. Health officials say the woman visited a hospital in Page for an upper respiratory illness. The next day, she went to the Grand Canyon Health Clinic where she was tested for measles.
