Court Overturns Ban on Mexican Gray Wolf Releases

A federal court has lifted an injunction that prevented federal wildlife agents from releasing more endangered Mexican gray wolves in New Mexico.

State officials had refused to allow more captive-raised wolves into the wild and said the federal government didnt have a comprehensive plan on how to manage the species. It isn’t yet clear whether the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service plans more gray wolf releases.
