Oakland Military School

When he was governor of California, Jerry Brown was derided for his liberal, Zen-friendly policies. Now that he's the mayor of Oakland, Brown is a surprise booster of the city's charter military school -- an institution he says could provide the city's youth with much-needed discipline.
