Extreme heat is taking over parts of the United States and Europe

Heat is scorching a broad stretch of the South and West in the United States and large parts of Europe. In the U.S., Phoenix has been at or above 110 degrees for most of the last two weeks. And California's Death Valley could hit 130 degrees today. Transcript provided by NPR, Copyright NPR.
