12th Annual Shakespeare in the Pines

12th Annual Shakespeare in the Pines

Laark Productions, in partnership with the Highlands Center for Natural History, presents the 12th annual Shakespeare in the Pines: William Shakespeare’s Love’s Labor’s Lost.

Love’s Labor’s Lost

The King of Navarre and his three companions swear to devote themselves to reason, abstinence, and the pursuit of glory for three years. Their vows are doomed to be shot down by Cupid’s arrows when the Princess of France and her ladies-in-waiting arrive on the grounds of the chateau.

Shakespeare’s romantic comedy Love’s Labor’s Lost is filled with witty wordplay, mischievous pranks, and multiple romantic entanglements. Laark Productions places this classic comedy in the world of the Romantic poets, under the cool night sky and majestic pines of the Highlands Center for Natural History.
