VVPOA 50TH ANNIVERSARY KICK OFF CELEBRATION The Verde Village Property Owners Association was founded in 1972 by the residents in the newly developed Verde Villages. The property owners found themselves stuck without proper roads and utilities. The Association was organized to take legal actions against the developer. For the first few decades, the VVPOA’s fundraising activities were the only social events locally for the community. Membership boomed. Dances, BBQ’s, monthly dinners and much more helped build the pool and the Main Community Hall. The Association also worked closely with Yavapai County as the Villages continued to grow. The first few decades of our 21st century have seen our membership fall off, as people become busy and more activities are an option. The volunteers of the VVPOA have planned a year of special events to persuade community members to join in the fun and help keep our Villages vital. Our first event is on March 5, 2022 at the VVPOA Clubhouse at 4855 E. Broken Saddle Dr. in Cottonwood. The VVPOA is reaching out to long time residents of the Verde Villages to share memories of times past. Please call 928-646-6505 if you would like to be interviewed by a volunteer.
