'Anora' Film Premiere

'Anora' Film Premiere

The Sedona International Film Festival is proud to present the Northern Arizona premiere of “Anora”, showing Feb. 7-13 at the Mary D. Fisher Theatre.

“Anora” is nominated for six Academy Awards, including Best Picture, Best Director, Best Actress in a Leading Role, Best Supporting Actor, Best Original Screenplay and Best Film Editing.

Sean Baker's Palme d'Or winner “Anora” is an audacious, thrilling, and comedic variation on a modern-day Cinderella story.

Mikey Madison (“Once Upon a Time in Hollywood”) captivates as Ani, a young sex worker from Brooklyn whose life takes an unexpected turn when she meets and impulsively marries Vanya, the impetuous son of a Russian billionaire. However, when Vanya's parents catch wind of the union, they send their henchmen to annul the marriage, setting off a wild chase through the streets of New York.

“Anora” will be shown at the Mary D. Fisher Theatre Feb. 7-13. Showtimes will be Friday and Monday, Feb. 7 and 10 at 4:00 and 7:00 p.m.; Saturday, Feb. 8 at 12:30 p.m.; Wednesday, Feb. 12 at 3:00 p.m. and Thursday, Feb. 13 at 7:00 p.m.

Tickets are $12 general admission, or $9 for Film Festival members. For tickets and more information, please call 928-282-1177. Both the theatre and film festival office are located at 2030 W. Hwy. 89A, in West Sedona. For more information, visit: www.SedonaFilmFestival.org.
