CAL Film Series: The Third Man

CAL Film Series: The Third Man

The Third Man | 1949 | Directed by Carol Reed

August 26 | 7 PM | Cline Library

This NAU tradition continues with Film screenings and discussions hosted by NAU’s own Paul Donnelly and Paul Helford on most Tuesday evenings in Cline Library Auditorium. This year we are celebrating directors on the outside of the mainstream. Free and Open to the Public

Our first film this semester takes place in postwar Vienna, where American writer Holly Martins (Joseph Cotton) arrives to meet his friend Harry Lime (Orson Wells)—only to find that Harry is dead.

The Third Man is a gripping noir classic, renowned for its moody cinematography, iconic score, and unforgettable twist.

In 1999 the British Film Institute named it the greatest British Film of all time.
