Discover what is happening in Schultz Creek

May 2 at 5:30 pm What is Happening in Schultz Creek?
If you have been hiking or biking up Schultz Creek, you will have noticed a lot of changes.
The Friends of the Rio de Flag will host a walk from the “Y” at Schultz Creek with Allen Haden from Natural Channel Design leading the tour. You will see and learn about the flood mitigation work done by Coconino County Flood Control District and the City of Flagstaff Stormwater in the Schultz Creek drainage. Come learn about the detention basins, the plug and alluvial fan restoration in the area. Meet at the “Y” on Eldon Lookout Road at 5:30 on Thursday May 2. Be prepared to walk about a mile in moderate terrain and changing weather conditions.
