Entwined: Dispatches from the Intersection of Species
Entwined: Dispatches from the Intersection of Species
Free Event
Join Bridget A. Lyons, author of Entwined: Dispatches from the Intersection of Species, for an evening of storytelling, observation, and wonder. Travel with her across Alaska, California, Mexico, Honduras, and beyond, encountering animals and plants in their native habitats.
From navigating icebergs while studying common eiders in Alaska, to witnessing the apparent demise of a humpback whale on the Baja Peninsula, trail running with ibex in the Alps, and contemplating octopuses in a Cretan museum, Lyons weaves together scientific insight and awe-inspiring observation. Along the way, she explores the intelligence, creativity, and beauty of the natural world and reflects on the urgent reality of its shrinking biodiversity.
Discover how these stories illuminate the intricate connections between humans and our nonhuman neighbors, and leave inspired to see the world with fresh curiosity and care.
Bridget will be available after the event to meet attendees and sign copies of her new book, Entwined: Dispatches from the Intersection of Species.
