FlagShakes Summer 2025

FlagShakes Summer 2025

Join us under the stars at Lowell Observatory for two unforgettable productions that showcase the full range of Shakespearean theatre—from heartbreaking tragedy to side-splitting comedy.

KING LEAR
A storm is coming. Power, betrayal, madness, and love collide in Shakespeare’s monumental tragedy. King Lear cuts to the heart of human nature, revealing raw truth through every betrayal and heartbreak. Performed with our signature Original Staging Practices, this is Shakespeare as you’ve never seen it.

THE COMPLETE WORKS OF WILLIAM SHAKESPEARE (abridged) [revised] [again]
Three actors. Thirty-seven plays. Ninety minutes. This fast, funny, and wildly entertaining crash course in the entire Shakespeare canon is perfect for the whole family—even if you’ve never seen a Shakespeare play before. It’s quick, it’s absurd, and it’s a blast.

Performances run July 10 through August 4 under the festival tent at Lowell Observatory.
Tickets are on sale now at www.FlagShakes.org/tickets. Senior, student, and family discounts available.

Bring a blanket, grab a snack, and experience Shakespeare where it was meant to be: live, electric, and right under the stars.

See you at the tent!
