The brutality inflicted on women during a genocide or mass violence is specific and similar from conflict to conflict. Unfortunately, the individual experiences of women remain untold or unstudied in history. Through the field experience in different genocides and mass crimes, Yahad - In Unum has identified these parallels where women are at the frontline of mass violence and genocide worldwide.
