Nearly every year since 1933, radio hams have gathered on the fourth full weekend of June to set up remote stations in a massive on-the-air party. This year, our group of friends will be celebrating on the peak of Spitz Hill just outside Flagstaff. We expect to be chatting with some of the more than 23000 other stations on the air as we practice our emergency preparedness skills. There will be educational activities for students and the public is welcome. If you would be interested in participating or would like more information, please contact me. This has been my favorite summer celebration since I was a teenager and I would love to share my excitement with others.
