• Bring a sack lunch, water, hat & sunscreen!
• Wear hiking boots!
• Altitude 8,994 feet (You’ve got to be physical fit!)
• Bring your camera!
• Round trip: 2.3 miles
• Hike to capture the aspen glow as they quake and shimmer in the sun. Situated on sloping meadows and open prairie high on the western slope of the San Francisco Peaks, the Aspen Nature Loop Trail affords unhindered views of the volcanic field to the west and the Grand Canyon to the north. The Peaks loom high above with views of the nearby Arizona Snowbowl.
* Over our sack lunches, we will exchange friendly insights about landscape in Austen’s novels. Hint: Who cut down trees in Sense and Sensibility and Mansfield Park?
