Thursday, May 16th would've been Mark McMahan's 73rd birthday. A brilliant guitarist, he was an everpresent figure in the music scene in Flagstaff from 2000 to 2012, playing avant-garde jazz and telling anyone who'd listen what was in the crock pot. On May 16th there will be an improvisational and original music jam in his honor, at Cornish Pasty Company in Flagstaff.

Flagstaff has always had many talented musicians. All music will be improvised (i.e. with no preset chord structure) or will be original compositions, backed up by an excellent, versatile house band. Original songwriters and improvisational players of all kinds are encouraged to attend!
