Prescott Writers: Editing Your Book & What To Expect

Prescott Writers: Editing Your Book & What To Expect

Picking the right type of editing services to help publish your writings is a key step to ensuring successful sales. In this presentation, Heidi Thomas will touch on some of the more useful types of editing that are best for most genres. She will discuss the different types of editors for novels, memoirs, nonfiction and the sciences as well as the the pros and cons of self-editing. Heidi is an award-winning novelist after writing books based on her grandmother's life: Cowgirl Dreams, Follow the Dream, and Dare to Dream. She has also published a non-fiction book, Cowgirl Up! A History of Rodeo Women.  Heidi is a freelance editor, teaches community writing classes, and is working on the next book in her "Rescue" series. Prescott Writers is hosted by Central Arizona Writers and presented with funding from the Friends of the Prescott Public Library.
