Prescott Writers: The Proverbial Writer's Toolbox

Prescott Writers: The Proverbial Writer's Toolbox

Every writer carries a toolbox—filled not with hardware, but with techniques, habits, and mindset strategies that turn ideas into powerful prose. The Proverbial Writer’s Toolbox explores the essential literary skills, practical resources, and psychological tools that help you draft with confidence, revise with clarity, and overcome creative roadblocks. Strong writing is crafted, not accidental. In this presentation, you’ll discover the tools that sharpen your voice and strengthen your work—from first sentence to final draft. Patrick Fogarty is an award-winning short story writer, poet, and editor. He writes creative nonfiction, historical nonfiction, memoir, and poetry. His stories and poems often reflect his upbringing in the South Bronx. Pat is a graduate of Yavapai College's Creative Writing Program. His short stories have been published in a multitude of magazines and also in several short story compilations. Prescott Writers is hosted by Central Arizona Writers and presented with funding from the Friends of the Prescott Public Library.
