'Rebel: Director's Cut' Film Screening
The Sedona International Film Festival is proud to present “Rebel: Director’s Cut” on Friday, June 27 at 7:00 p.m. at the Mary D. Fisher Theatre.
“Rebel” — from 1973 — was Sylvester Stallone’s first movie role. This new 4K restoration and director’s cut of the film is premiering in theaters for the first time.
Writer/Director/Producer Robert Allen Schnitzer will be in Sedona to host this special screening and do a post-film Q&A with our Sedona audience.
Jerry Savage (Sylvester Stallone) — an anti-war activist on a secret mission in 1969 — meets Laurie (Rebecca Grimes), a pretty hippie jewelry maker. In NYC, Jerry joins a radical terror cell planning to blow up the headquarters of a Vietnam War defense firm. As the FBI closes in, Jerry runs off to see Laurie at her rural commune. They fall in love. Jerry barely escapes the dragnet, but his ill-fated romance with Laurie proves deadly.
“Rebel: Director’s Cut” will be shown at the Mary D. Fisher Theatre on Friday, June 27 at 7:00 p.m. followed by a Q&A with Writer/Director/Producer Robert Allen Schnitzer.
