Route 66: A 100th Anniversary Tribute

Take a virtual ride with international Moto-Journalist Koz Mraz and renowned travel writer Roger Naylor as they take you on a historic road trip down Old Route 66.

The Sedona International Film Festival is proud to present “Route 66: A 100th Anniversary Tribute” on Tuesday, April 28 at 4 p.m. at the Mary D. Fisher Theatre.

It is the Mother Road’s 100th anniversary, and Northern Arizona has the longest intact and most iconic stretch of original Route66.

Visit the Pine Breeze Inn, the very first location shot for the movie Easy Rider; Oatman, the burro-friendly town where Clark Gable and Carole Lombard spent their honeymoon; and the Grand Canyon Caverns, the largest dry caverns in the U.S. From the Dust Bowl Okie’s to the iconic TV show, Route 66, this "Main Street of America" is the most famous highway in the U.S. and arguably, in the world.

Koz Mraz is international moto-photo journalist who published over 200 features stories for prominent travel and lifestyle magazines and books Piers of The West Coast, Motorcycle Mysteries, and Motorcycling the Himalayas.

Roger Naylor has authored a dozen books, including Arizona Route 66 Road Trip, Arizona’s Scenic Roads and Hikes, Arizona National Parks and Monuments, Awesome Arizona: 200 Amazing Facts about the Grand Canyon State, Arizona State Parks, Arizona Tales of Ghosts, Gumshoes, and Bigfoot, and more!

“Route 66: A 100th Anniversary Tribute” will be featured at the Mary D. Fisher Theatre on Tuesday, April 28 at 4:00 p.m. Tickets are $20. For tickets and more information, please call 928-282-1177.
