Star Talks: Asteroids: From Past Paradigms to Next Stops in Space Exploration

Delve into the fascinating world of asteroids at this month's Star Talk. You will learn how recent discoveries have transformed our knowledge of asteroids and what's driving these changes, gain insights into the techniques and technologies used by scientists to study asteroids today, and take a look at recent and upcoming missions from NASA and the European Space Agency (ESA) to discover the exciting new questions these missions aim to answer.Justin Crevier is a first-year graduate student in Northern Arizona University's Department of Astronomy and Planetary Science, and performs asteroid research with Dr. Cristina Thomas. Prior to starting grad school, Justin had careers in the U.S. Marine Corps and in the U.S. Department of State. He earned undergraduate degrees from the U.S. Naval Academy and from Boise State University.Star Talks are held in partnership with €‹Prescott Astronomy Club and presented with funding from Friends of the Prescott Public Library.
