Come visit the MNA booth at this free kick-off event for the Flagstaff Festival of Science.

Bring a flowering native plant sample for MNA botanists Kirstin Phillips and Jan Busco to identify and compare to the results of AI phone apps. NAU Genetics Core Facilities Manager Jill Hager Cocking will be onsite to explain plant DNA barcoding, and she will take the plant samples back to the NAU lab for more identification.

Come to MNA the following Saturday, September 28, for the free, all-day MNA Science Day to find out the results of your plant sample (between 10 a.m. and 12 p.m. in MNA’s Jaime Major Golightly Courtyard).
