The Sedona International Film Festival is proud to present the Sedona theatrical premiere of “Sweetwater” showing July 11-17 at Mary D. Fisher Theatre.
“Sweetwater” was one of the top award-winning films at the recent Sedona International Film Festival, garnering the Directors’ Choice for Best Ensemble Cast and rave audience reviews.
“Sweetwater” features an award-winning, all-star cast, including Everett Osborne, Jeremy Piven, Cary Elwes, Kevin Pollak, Richard Dreyfuss, Eric Roberts, Robert Richard, Gary Clark Jr. and Jim Caviezel.
Nat “Sweetwater” Clifton (Everett Osborne), makes history as the first African American to sign an NBA contract, forever changing the game of basketball.
Sweetwater was born to change the game. Revered as the father of basketball as it’s now known and loved by millions, Harlem Globetrotters phenom Nat “Sweetwater” Clifton overcame a lifetime of barriers and a barrage of discrimination to become the first African American to join the NBA.
Politics and high emotions take on cultural evolution as Sweetwater attempts to overcome all odds and risk everything to fulfill his destiny and bring change and a “new” game to the world.
“Sweetwater” will be shown at the Mary D. Fisher Theatre July 11-17. Showtimes will be Friday, Saturday, Tuesday and Wednesday, July 11, 12, 15 and 16 at 4:00 p.m.; and Sunday, Monday and Thursday, July 13, 14 and 17 at 7:00 p.m.
