'The Last Rifleman' Film Premiere

'The Last Rifleman' Film Premiere

The Sedona International Film Festival is proud to present the Northern Arizona premiere of “The Last Rifleman”, showing Nov. 29-Dec. 5 at the Mary D. Fisher Theatre.

Inspired by a true story, Pierce Brosnan plays Artie Crawford, a World War II veteran living in a care home in Northern Ireland who has just lost his wife. On the 75th anniversary of the D-Day landings, he decides to escape his care home and embarks on a journey to France to pay his final respects to his best friend.

He embarks on an arduous but inspirational journey from Northern Ireland to France to find the courage to face the ghosts of his past.

“The Last Rifleman” is loosely based on the true story of British D-Day veteran Bernard Jordan, who left his care home in England to travel to France.

“The Last Rifleman” will be shown at Mary D. Fisher Theatre Nov. 29-Dec. 5. Showtimes will be Friday, Saturday, Sunday and Thursday, Nov. 29, 30 and Dec. 1 and 5 at 4:00 p.m.; and Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday, Dec. 2, 3 and 4 at 7:00 p.m.

Tickets are $12 general admission, or $9 for Film Festival members. For tickets and more information, please call 928-282-1177. Both the theatre and film festival office are located at 2030 W. Hwy. 89A, in West Sedona. For more information, visit: www.SedonaFilmFestival.org.
