'The Man Who Saves the World?' Film Premiere
The Sedona International Film Festival is proud to present the Northern Arizona premiere of “The Man Who Saves the World?” showing Oct. 24-29 at the Mary D. Fisher Theatre.
Special guest Rob Wergin — an internationally recognized transformational healer and teacher — will host the first two screenings of “The Man Who Saves the World?” on Friday and Saturday, and will conduct a Q&A session following both screenings.
Additionally, a conversation with Drs. JJ, Desiree Hurtak, the founders of the Academy of Future Science, and Chip Comins, Chairman and CEO of the American Energy Initiative will take place after the Monday, Oct. 27 screening.
Resurrection, indigenous prophecies, and adventures around the globe — this is the story of Patrick McCollum. A spiritual leader and peace advocate, he finds himself at the very center of an ancient prophecy that could decide the fate of our planet.
Pulled into McCollum’s world, acclaimed director Gabe Polsky will bring us across continents on a spiritual journey in which the absurd and profound merge. Along the way, they cross paths with legends like Jane Goodall and Chief Phil Lane Jr., as Polsky uncovers a mission that might just be crazy enough to save the planet.
“’The Man Who Saves the World?’ is one of my favorite documentaries in years! Leave it to Gabe Polsky to track down and chronicle one of the most colorful characters and craziest stories ever captured on film " — Scott Feinberg, The Hollywood Reporter
“Probably the most extraordinary person I’ve met.” — Jane Goodall
"Hilarious and inspiring … a near-perfect balance between skepticism and wonder." — Ben McGrath, The New Yorker
"A tenderly comic and captivating portrait of the singular Patrick McCollum — an unlikely hero whose story underscores the enduring (and tragic) beauty of being true to oneself till the very end." — Bill Keenan, Airmail
“The Man Who Saves the World?” will be shown at the Mary D. Fisher Theatre Oct. 24-29. Showtimes will be Friday and Monday, Oct. 24 and 27 at 7:00 p.m.; and Saturday, Tuesday and Wednesday, Oct. 25, 28 and 29 at 4:00 p.m.
