Third Thursday Star Talks: An Overview of Embry-Riddle's Planetarium and STEM Outreach Operations

Eric Edelman, the ERAU Planetarium Director, and Jessica Kissinger, ERAU's STEM Outreach Manager, will present an overview of the planetarium and its operations as well as a look into its future. Eric will discuss the evolution of the planetarium's community presence from 2017 to today, while highlighting the technical capabilities of the facility and its potential moving forward. Jessica is passionate about empowering the next generations of 21st century citizens and engaging with them. She will describe ERAU's STEM Outreach and share community involvement ideas for the Prescott Astronomy Club relating to the local K-12 youth population and their families. This is an in-person event with a Zoom option. Registration for Zoom is required. Meeting rooms will have limited capacity and masks will be available. Presented with funding from the Friends of the Prescott Public Library.
