World Water Day Event at Slide Rock State Park

World Water Day Event at Slide Rock State Park

Come celebrate World Water Day 2026 at Slide Rock State Park on Saturday, March 21 from 9:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m.! Hosted by the city of Sedona's Sustainability Department, the Oak Creek Watershed Council, and Arizona Water Company, interact with various organizations from around the area in celebration of World Water Day.

Through hands-on activities, you will get a chance to survey macroinvertebrates in the Oak Creek, learn how water moves underground, and discover how stormwater flows through Sedona. Upon completing three different event activities, attendees will be entered to win a special prize! For this special event, there will be a food truck on-site for anyone to purchase a meal while visiting the park during the event hours.

Plan ahead and register for the macroinvertebrate survey to secure your spot. Walk-ins are welcome, but spots are limited for this activity. To learn more and register for this activity visit www.rippleefectsedona.com/world-water-day.

NOTE: All ages are welcome. Children younger than the 4th grade level should be accompanied by an adult for the macroinvertebrate survey. We recommend attendees to arrive 15 minutes before the scheduled activity to check in.
